Leaving hospital and returning to your own home is a significant moment when you’re recovering from a stroke. Being back in familiar surroundings is a great feeling, but there can still be quite a journey before arriving at full health once more. The symptoms following a stroke can be emotional and physical, requiring care and patience.
Francis House Homecare provides stroke recovery care in Milton Keynes. Our trained home carers offer rehabilitation support for clients managing difficulties with strength loss, reduced mobility or speech impairment.
Strokes happen at different ages, to people with different physical conditions. Which is why Francis House stroke recovery care plans are bespoke to our clients. In some cases, all that’s needed is a light-touch hourly care service. For elderly people who are living on their own, however, a live-in carer may be the ideal short-term solution.
The aim of all our stroke recovery care services in Milton Keynes is to support our clients in regaining their strength, emotional resilience, and independence. Our carers not only attend to personal care, they can also help with managing anxiety and building confidence. Francis House carries out a risk assessment of the home, and monitors any changes required as recovery progresses.
