Salary: £9.00 to £10.53 (inc enhancements)
We are the second biggest provider of domiciliary care in Bedford and we are recruiting for a Community Support Worker – Male to work in all areas of Bedford and Central Bedfordshire.
You will be supporting individuals with complex mental health needs who may also have an autistic spectrum disorder and a coexisting learning disability. Your role will be to support our service users to live a full and meaningful life. You will be working 1:1 or 3:1 with individuals who require more intensive support. The homes are smaller group settings of one to three people. You will have positive regard for the people we support and communicate positively. You will provide emotional and practical support; which can include managing medication, household tasks such as laundry and cleaning, escorting to appointments, attending education courses, voluntary work and leisure activities. You will work in collaboration with our service users, and proactively seek new ideas for activities and provide information to enable the individual to exercise choice. In some projects, you may be required to support with personal care.
